A mysterious facility which houses Dolls, aka Actives. The Actives are volunteers who’ve undergone a procedure which effectively wipes all of their memories, returning them to a child-like state.
The Dollhouse deals in fantasy; rich, powerful clients come with an “engagement,” and Dolls are imprinted with whichever personality suits the engagement best. Once the engagement is complete, the Dolls return to the Dollhouse, their memories are wiped, and they wait, blissfully ignorant, until it is time for their next engagement. They have no memory of who they are or what they’ve done.
They can be anyone in the world… except for themselves.
BLISSFUL IGNORANCE is a Dollhouse roleplay, based on Joss Whedon’s new series. If you’re a fan of the series and are looking to discuss the show and interact with fans, or if you’re only interested in roleplaying with other members, then this is the board for you. You can roleplay as a canon, or you’re free to create an original character and immerse them in the wonderfully complex word that Whedon has created.
