The Marauders are in their 6th year and drama is brewing up like wildfire. The effects of the broken friendship between Lily Evans and Severus Snape is highly evident. Young, sixteen-year-old Severus Snape has been in constant depression ever since if best and, apparently, only friend deserted him in an unfortunate misdeed by Hogwarts' favorite Marauders. Seen alone and friendless, often sad and lonely, Severus Snape lurks the castles of Hogwarts alone. Lily Evans, however, is seen with a group of girls who aren't exactly ones that Lily would usually hang out with. More like she has to, than wants to. The Marauders, on the other hand, are the Marauders in general. Never changing and troublemaking as always, but as it seems... everyone grows up.
James Potter seems to have his pride stripped down with every rejection from Lily Evans that he gets. Sirius Black seems to be dating up a storm, if one could call dating as kissing a different girl every night, and one would wonder if someone would finally catch his high maintenance eye. Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew still remain a mystery as their friendships loosen.
What if Lily's heart was softened by time and absence, and she found it in her heart to forgive her best friend? What if Severus finally had enough courage to say what he really wanted to say to her since they were children? What would happen to the lovely little, almost happily ever after of Lily, James and Severus? Wind out through tide and time, unravel the happily ever after and rewrite it's course. Will true love find it's way?
