Welcome to Greenwich, New Jersey, a small farming village that nobody has ever heard of, or ever talks about. It’s a place where people sit around telling stories that took place years before. Gossip is never news to the people of Greenwich, but rather a story to laugh at from years past.
But when a little orphan girl is found sleeping in a grassy meadow, the suspicion rate of the town goes up. Who is this girl? Where does she come from? But not only does this child make huge news, but something else has been making the headlines of the local news as well.
Adults ages forty and older have been mysteriously disappearing overnight. But without leads, there’s no way to find out where the adults have been disappearing off to. There’s just one thing each case has in common: all the disappearances started after the orphan girl was found.
Suddenly, people from neighboring townships are interested in Greenwich, and the town is getting a fair few visitors it never got before. But with all this sudden popularity, most Greenwich residents have forgotten their problems, leaving them to the teens, who are determined to find out what’s up.
And suddenly, this little farming town that nobody ever used to talk about has quite a lot to talk about.
